It’s Berry Season – Know Your Limits!
I love summer and
especially berry season so here’s all you need to know for berries and low
FODMAP diet:
Strawberries – eat freely!
Blackberries – do
not eat if sorbitol bothers you
Raspberries – keep to
1/3 cup if fructan bothers you
Blueberries – keep to
1/3 cup if fructan bothers you
Cherries – do not
eat if fructose bothers you (or keep to 2 cherries but who’s doing that?)
Boysenberries – keep
under 10 berries if fructose bothers you
