Happy New Year!




With all the talk of resolutions for the New Year, I’m evaluating my current system of noting recipes, ingredient swaps and accommodating the many food allergies & intolerances of our family and friends.   After a quick inventory I have discovered 1 large notebook, 6 small notebooks, dozens of loose papers, 1 bullet journal and many electronic documents on my phone in the form of text messages, photos, and food apps.

My husband graciously offers to make dinner most nights and our friends are always offering to accommodate our restricted diets but they all seem to have one request – the recipe.    The trouble is I’m not much of a recipe person since I rarely find one that doesn’t need modifications to work for our family. 

My project for 2020 is to better document and organize actual “recipes” as well as notes on how to make modifications when cooking for someone with diet restrictions.
