Meatless Monday - BBQ Cauliflower Steaks
It’s meatless Monday and I talked my husband into grilling us some cauliflower steaks with a low FODMAP BBQ sauce. We both loved them! I served with a side of mustard cabbage slaw.
- Cauliflower cut into “steaks”
- Garlic infused olive oil
- Sea salt
- Low FODMAP BBQ sauce (I use FODY brand original flavor)
Rinse cauliflower and peel off leaves, leave core
intact to hold the “steaks” together, slice into about 4-5 pieces. You want these a bit on the thick side so
they don’t fall apart.
Brush with garlic infused olive oil, sprinkle sea
salt on both sides
Grill for approximately 10 minutes, flip, brush with
BBQ sauce, grill another 10 minutes or until done to your liking
Top with fresh chives or green onions and serve with
mustard cabbage slaw:
- 1 bag of shredded cabbage tossed in mustard dressing, refrigerated about 3 hours or longer
Honey mustard dressing:
- 3 parts mayonnaise (use vegan if desired or olive oil)
- 1 part stone ground mustard (watch ingredients to ensure low FODMAP)
- Splash of apple cider vinegar
- Honey (maple syrup to keep vegan) and sea salt to taste
